With every harvest and every pour, we honor the land, the craft, and the legacy of those who came before us. This is more than farming—it’s tradition, refined.

Our History
Our family has grown fruit on this land for over 170 years. It began with our ancestor Parmer Phillips and has passed through generations of growers committed to excellence. From apples and peaches to pumpkins and pears, our farm’s story is Michigan’s story—resilient, seasonal, and deeply rooted in the land.
Our Process
We make cider the old-fashioned way. Using a traditional rack and cloth press, we highlight the crisp, complex flavors of heritage apples grown right here. Each small batch is crafted with care—pressed slowly, bottled by hand, and served with pride.
Where we came from
From humble beginnings in Pleasant Valley to Saint Johns, our family has always believed in working the land and building community. Phillips cider is now enjoyed across Michigan, from Ann Arbor to Traverse City—still made with the same values it began with.
Our Orchard
Parmer Phillips first planted our orchard in 1852, choosing high ground with a view of the Maple River. Today, we continue to plant and nurture trees with that same care. We grow dozens of varieties with intention, focusing on quality, sustainability, and flavor.
