We press cider 6-8 months of the year. During that time we also freeze thousands of gallons of cider and we sell that during the 4-6 months each year when we aren't pressing.
In 1852, when Parmer Phillips settled our farm, this was the frontier. He chose a spot on the north slope of a ridge of land, with the Maple River running through the north edge of the farm. An orchard was started immediately, and over time it became clear that he had selected great fruit growing land. We currently grow 34 varieties of apples to use in making our ciders.
